PRECEPTORSHIPS



Are you interested in treating Spider Veins and Varicose Veins?

Preceptorships have been crafted to allow doctors one-on-one exposure to the latest in Phlebology techniques, following a set curriculum with flexibility to incorporate some particular areas of interest where possible.

The various preceptorships only provide exposure and are not considered adequate training in these procedures and do not provide certifcation to perform these procedures.

Preceptorships can be organised at any time of the year with a Fellow of our College.

It is recommended that preceptors familiarise themselves with basic sclerotherapy concepts beforehand to make the most of their preceptorship. Due to medicolegal reasons and state registration issues, the preceptorship is observational only. A recommended textbook is provided.

The different preceptorships available are:

Basic Phlebology
3 Days
$3,300.00 (incl GST)

The College conducts an intensive 3-day one on one observational preceptorship in sclerotherapy. The preceptorship provides exposure to sclerotherapy and is designed for those practitioners who are looking to incorporate sclerotherapy into their practice. It covers investigation and management of superficial venous incompetence, CW-Doppler, basic sclerotherapy techniques, and exposure to ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. This course is recommended for medical practitioners and doctors with no previous experience in sclerotherapy.

Advanced Phlebology
2 days
$2,750.00 (incl GST)

The College conducts an intensive 2-day one-on-one observational preceptorship in UGS and EVLA. The preceptorship provides exposure to UGS and EVLA and is designed for practitioners who are fully competent in ultrasound, vascular & venous disease as well as the basic concepts of sclerotherapy. This course is recommended for vascular surgeons and venous surgeons.

Comprehensive Phlebology
4 days + 2 days refresher
$6,600.00 (incl GST)

The College conducts an intensive 4-day one-on-one observational preceptorship in all aspects of phlebology. This includes an optional 2-day refresher visit later in the same year. The preceptorship provides exposure to UGS and EVLA and is designed for practitioners who are looking to incorporate these advanced procedures into their practice. It covers investigation and managment of superficial venous incompetence, venous mapping, DVT studies, Vascular Anomalies, Ultrasound and Interventional procedures. This course is for Medical practitioners and interstate and overseas practitioners.

Duplex Ultrasound
3 days
$2,200.00 (incl GST)

The College conducts an intensive 3-day one on one observational preceptorship in venous duplex ultrasound. The preceptorship provides exposure to ultrasound and is designed for sonographers and medical practitioners who wish to improve their understanding of venous ultrasound. It covers superficial venous incompetence mapping, deep vein incompetence studies, DVT studies, vascular malformation ultrasound and ABI. This course is for general sonographers and medical practitioners.
