Varicose Vein MBS Item Changes
From 1 November 2022, six MBS items for varicose veins (32520, 32522, 32523, 32526, 32528 and 32529) will be amended to remove co-claiming restrictions for abdominal and lower limb venography when clinically indicated. This change is the result of further consultation with the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery and was supported by the Medical Services Advisory Committee.
