Bondi Beach Attack
The Australasian College of Phlebology expresses its profound sorrow and deep concern following the violent attack in Bondi which has resulted in loss of life, injury, and widespread distress within the community.

The College unequivocally condemns this act of violence and hatred targeting members of our Jewish community. Antisemitism, extremism, and terrorism have no place in Australian society and stand in direct opposition to the principles of respect, compassion, and human dignity that underpin medical practice.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and our sincere support to all those who were injured or traumatised by this attack. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and with all communities affected by this senseless act of violence.

The Australasian College of Phlebology acknowledges and thanks the emergency services personnel, healthcare workers, and first responders who acted swiftly and courageously in caring for victims under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Their professionalism and commitment exemplify the highest values of the health professions.

As a medical college, ACP reaffirms its commitment to the protection of life, the promotion of health, and the rejection of hatred and violence in all its forms. We call for unity, compassion, and mutual respect at this difficult time, and support efforts that foster community safety, understanding, and healing.
