President's Address

Dear Fellows, Members, Colleagues and Friends,

I am excited to take on the role of President of the Australasian College of Phlebology. I extend my gratitude to the outgoing president Dr Simon Thibault and the outgoing Board members. We now welcome a new board and I look forward to continuing to make progress with issues that affect our members.

I congratulate our recent trainees who have been successful in passing their exams and welcome the new training applicants.

I ask that you consider becoming involved in training our new generation of trainees and that if you can act in a supervisory role, please contact the College.

I invite you to the Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide May 6-9, 2023. As Adelaide is my home town, I look forward to welcoming you all for an amazing meeting. We are bringing back some hands on workshops and debates as well as excellent scientific content. Why not stay on and explore this great state, with the likes of Mclaren Vale and Barossa wine regions, beautiful beaches and coasts and the Adelaide Hills.

One of my goals is to increase communication with College members by email newsletters as well as social media. Please interact with our social media pages – the links are on the website. Please share our upcoming events and stay tuned for some upcoming events and news.

We are well on the way with our CPD Home application and continue to liaise with other vascular groups for input into medicare item number changes that impact phlebology.

Wishing you all a fabulous Christmas and festive season.

Dr Lisa Marks
President
The Australasian College of Phlebology
